Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia

drkathymaupin.com Dr. Maupin and Brett Newcomb give an overview of two critical symptoms of menopause and aging—chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. They are often confused because they both cause tired feeling. Fibromyalgia is an autoimmune disease that starts with a virus. It causes pain that moves around the body from day to day. Chronic fatigue, also a virus, compromises the autoimmune system. Both are generally caused by lack of testosterone and can be treated with bioidentical hormone pellets. Dr. Maupin’s practice is different from others in a number of ways. She ran an OB/GYN practice for 25 years and built BioBalance Health by listening to the needs and health concerns of her patients. Her treatment program is offered a pay-as-you-go basis, not by annual retainer. Treatment starts with a private interview with the patient where she reviews their blood test results and then prescribes the correct dosage of bioidentical hormones.
